Don Rome STB Bars
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about Don Rome's STB Bar (front and rear) package. Does anybody have any thoughts on his parts? STB Bars in general? Are there any skidpad numbers out there?
Wes

I just put 'em on my Monte a couple months ago... makes a good difference...
I got his full package - the two bars, and all 4 brackets... his brackets are nice and solid... bars are the GM bars, and solid... the front bar is modified so that it clears the alternator...
I've found on my car, that even with his brackets (which sit lower than other places' brackets), the front bar is still up high enough to where it does make contact with my hood though... the hood sits solidly on it when closed...
he ships everything you need, all new hardware (washers, bolts) to use, a sketch of how the rear ones get installed, torque values for the bolts, etc etc...
I like 'em...

They're on the wish list.
I wonder if he'd do a group buy price...

I sent him a message.
Let's see if we can get a group buy going!
EDIT: Can't do the group buy unless one of you has access to materials at a SUPER low price.

Definitely well worth the money. You'll feel a difference in having less body roll. Especially with the rear bar. Dons brackets are of great quality.

He's got a pre-2006 Grand Prix with his new diagonal braces and with his STB bar:

It seems like it might look better to keep the stock diagonal braces and buy just the STB bars.
Here's another picture, this time with a 2007+ w-body but with the stock diagonal bars:

I love the DR STB's!!! I bought mine a couple of months ago from member on another site and I don't know why I waited so long to buy them!!! They make a HUGE difference in the Impala(can't speak for the MCSS or GP GXP since I don't drive one). I highly recommend you buying them.
Also if you have a sub/s like me here's an idea for mounting the box to it.
