So we went to the track Friday, apparently the S4 owner and his friends didn't belive that I have a 13 second car.

I ran 14.0 @ 100 my first pass, the DA was 3005ft friday night, and 91 degrees.

I was hoping to run 13.8, which I did @ 101mph.

His best time was 14.2 @ 96mph - so needless to say he refused to line up. I was at the staging lanes and had an empty spot next to me, S4 guy came up, but would not line up. I got out of my car and pointed to the empty spot next to me - no dice. I lol'd, I knew he wouldn't run after talkin all that **** and ended up running mid 14's on average.

After the first runs, he said there's NO WAY I could beat him at the track, so sad to be so cocky.

 

that guy is ridiculous and should be ashamed of himself. he definitely had the drive of shame on his way home from the track.

 

must have been hot and humid to knock your times down that much.

Yeah, I was running 9.1s in the 1/8 when humidity was 91% with DP/tune.

 

Our southern heat is a killer. I may go out a few more times his summer, but will have to get dry ice whenever I go, and heat wrap some things.

And S4 owner confronted me at the end of the night. Said his octane isn't right, he should be trapping 106-107 stock. LOL. He also said after the 30mph rolls, that they were stupid runs.

When I invited him to run at the track, he said he's running rich - so he didn't want to run there - but was willing to do 50mph rolls. Too many funnys!

Not sure about the trap speeds but if ur running mid 13s then you for sure beat the driver as the race could have gone any way... haha, good kill by the way... I love how some one will buy a car that has potential to be fast with a good driver and then wonder why they suck... lol

It was a nice kill none the less, but you do know they make performance parts and have ecu upgrades for S4's too.

 

yes fully aware, but personally i like the impala better thus why i bought it instead, insurance was cheaper and payments lol, but my freind had a a4, i kno they have different motors, but had a ton of issues with it.

 

I was just saying that because you inferred that the right decision was made based on a race between a modded car and a stock car. I bought an Imp, would I rather have a S4, Yes! (Electrical problems and all )
