Default Finally got my Impy SS wideband tuned!!!

Well after recently putting the hogan catless downpipe finally got around to get it wideband tuned and what a difference!!!!! The only question I have is what is the normal IAT in our cars? Mine was reading 145 my tuner was freaking out. Oh and btw the outside temp was 98 degrees.

p.s. Finally got rid of that stupid check engine light that wasnt letting me use the remote start cause of the cat.

It's called heat soak, your tuner should know this.

Your IAT sensor is right over the crossover pipe.

I was worried there for a while so I then it's normal! Thanks for the feedback guys. I hope to see better track #'s after that disappointing 14.2 I did a couple weeks ago.

Some of us have wrapped the crossover pipe and removed the plastic cover over the intake manifold to help control heat soak.

I relocated the IAT sensor to behind the headlight and it seems to help in tricking the computer plus i have the manifold cover off, crossover wraped and the rubber peice around the crowl of the hood removed.

Hmm might consider relocating the IAT sensor. What do I have to buy?

vector motorsports sells a heat soak reduction kit that lets you relocate it. I have mine behind the headlamp. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it.

I'm buying the HSRK, but I think it's pointless without doing some wrapping. That is, unless it's in the headlight lol

I went with the msd iat sensor it was $20ish. Mounted it behind my tb. It makes it easer to tune when you know what the temp is in the intake.
