BTW, for those asking about shipping times. I placed my order just before 12:00pm and by 2:00pm I got an email that my order was picked, and by 3:00pm it was shipped.

Suprised the hell outta me!

Update... got the package and couldn't wait to install them. Have to charge the good camera so I can get some glare free shots.

Looks Great, What did you install?
What watt lows (35 or 55)?
What color lows (4700, 5000, 6000)?
What watt fogs (35 or 55)?
What color fogs (4700, 5000, 6000)?

I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT2. I have been back and forth about installing HID for years as I was worried about burning up my wire harnesses and melting my stock housings. Well I'm finally ready to jump back in and get the lows and fogs upgraded to HID using the DDMTUNING kits since I think they got most of the flickering problems solved.

Couple of Questions:
1) Has anyone on this site installed HID's in a 04 grand prix? Resluts?
- Since the housing is split for the turn signal and fog light I didn't know if they would get to hot or cause melting.

2) I'm going to go with 35watt lows and fogs
- What DDMTuning Kit would I buy for my lows?
- What DDMTuning Kit would I buy for my fogs?

3) I an between 5000k and 6000k color? Any suggestions/Preferences?

4) Will I need anything else (wiring harness, error code eliminator, mouting bracket, wiring instructions, etc...) to install both the lows and fogs?

Thanks for all your help and any replies that help me get this figured out. I will post pictures and a video of the install once I'm done.

Although I don't have a GT, I've seen many people run 35 watt hids in their split housings and it works fine. It's the 55 watt ballasts you'd have to worry about burning the housing with. For my car I have 6000k DDM hids in high, lows, and fogs all being run with wiring harnesses. 5000k I think looks cleaner but I like the blueish tint the 6000ks give off. It's all about preference. Also I recommend having the same color in both fogs and lows for regular driving. That or something like yellow (I forget the k) fog lights and 5000 or 6000k lows. Again, it's all about preference. For install if your worried about burning your wiring then I suggest getting the wiring harnesses for lows and fogs for peace of mind. Also the harness will eliminate flicker in lows with auto headlight function. Error eliminators are not needed at all on our cars. For installation brackets are really not needed. Get some really small and really big zip ties to mount the ballasts somewhere dry and to secure the wiring. It helps to ask someone to show you how to initially install the hids but it's pretty straight forward and there's also youtube. Good luck with project and I hope this helped!
