Default 1-2 shift shudder

Well I have almost 56kmi and, I started to get 1-2 shift shudder under light-moderate acceleration about 2-3 weeks ago. So its been real noticeable the last couple days so I decided to call the dealer closest to me. I was out of warranty by just less than a month and the guy was kind of a dick about it. So, I called the dealer on the other side of town that I bought it from and he said the same thing but told me to call the GM customer care line. They set up an appointment with the dealer on Monday to officially diagnose it so they can continue with the process. Sounds promising so far. Goes to show all dealers are not created equal.

Good luck, man. Hopefully they work out a deal with you, because you're gonna need a tranny, or at least, a rebuild.

Thanks man. I know the TSB I found says to replace the clutches but we'll see what they say.

I was waiting for them to tell you its "normal." The dealer won't fix my tranny until it breaks completely, rendering the car useless.

This is one reason going to dealers for routine services is beneficial.

If you're a regular customer, they'll take care of you in this scenario a high percentage of the time.

I see it all the time at my dealer. If a regular customer is out of warranty by a few thousand miles or a month or two, we'll try to get Nissan to goodwill warranty the parts and work with them to get it covered. And honestly, if someone shows up for the first time in that situation, it's going to be 100% customer pay.

My car is at the dealer so much, I think they are sick of me. Guess I should have no problems getting my **** fixed under warranty then.

Well i'm not a regular customer at this dealer, I just bought the car from them 3 years ago. The dealer that i did always take my car to was closed down when GM went bankrupt, which sucks because they were a really good bunch of guys. I have the TSB printed out if needed so hopefully now that GM customer care is involved i'll get somewhere. We'll see.

I have that same shudder and my car has around 23k miles on it. I still have warranty. Will they decline me warranty if I have intake and dp on it along with a plug in tune? The check engine light is on too from the DP. What do you all think?

Honestly, i'd put it back to stock tune and install the old DP back and take it in then, just to be safe.

well, that sucks. A word of hope though, if they won't honor the warranty, mine started doing that at 70000 miles, I bumped the line pressure up and it went away. 121,000 now and it shifts fine still.

It must be a 60,000 KM disease my car is starting to shudder and today it was reviving into gear a couple times. I'm just going to beat the **** out of it until it breaks. Every time I bring something for a mechanic test drive they always say there is no problem.
