off topic: leanred my lesson today. well today at work i was burning branchs and stuff and was using gasoline to start it. well i got it started and it went out.... or i thought it did. so i started pouring gas on it and after about 10 seconds of pouring gas on it BOOM! fire shot up from under neath me and burnt my left arm and the left side of my face. frized hair on my whole head, arms, eyebrows and eye lashes. i thought my clothes were on fire. it deffinitly freaked me out thats for sure. turns out i just got like a really bad sun burn kind of burn from it. the dr said i got really lucky and i shut my eyes just in time. Lesson learned: dont use gas with fire lol. im going back to work tomorrow.

lol, In the spring I was starting the BBQ and I damn thing didn't wanna start, propane was on alittle long and once I lite with the lighter, BOOM and there goes my right arm hair.

We have a very steep short hill by the road at my house that I burn off every fall. I did the same thing except it didn't come up underneath me, just around. Had to jump off onto the road and about f-ed my ankle all up. All that came from it was a sprain and a friend that couldn't stand up because he was on the ground laughing so hard.

You are lucky... not only because you survived the burn, but because the sudden flame front consumes all the oxygen in the air and can collapse your lungs. But, there's nothing wrong with using a little gas to start a fire, just using gas on an already lit fire.
The Monte Carlo wasn't hurt was it? God I hope not. j/k Glad you only got a nice tan from it.
When I do that **** I run a trail of gas away from the brush about 5 or 10 feet away and light that on fire
