With GM introducing a police Chevrolet Caprice, it seems logical a civilian version will follow soon. I'm betting at the end of the current Impala's life cycle we'll see Caprice resurrected as the full size Chevy offering.

Now that I think about it, I doubt that Chevy will offer a V8 in a civilian Caprice with new fuel economy requirements on the horizon. However, a turbo 6 would fit the bill (ala SHO). I think a read somewhere that GM has some turbo engines in the works, so that might be their gameplan. With Ford hinting at a 400+ HP SHO in the next couple of years, GM doesn't have anything to compete (yet).

you guys do know the new Caprice is going to be sold to the public..and nothing like the pic above..
Were getting a large RWD sedan and it might be an SS but who knows it will have a V8 though.
This Caprice is a little bigger than the G8 and the coupe 60..thats Dead in the water for anything here right now.
