Rear seat removal?

Rear seat removal?
Would it make a big enough difference at the track for the trouble, if so, what's the best way to get them out? The whole thing or just the tops?
Also, my car's got a fresh coat of paint, still pretty uneven, but it's been a year and there were a few chips. I'll get a real paint job eventually.

100 lbs = .1 second
It might help us more since we're FWD, rule of thumb is more weight on the front and less on the rear helps with traction. Only way to know for sure is to run with and without.
What was wrong with Flat Black? You betrayed us... j/k lol

I knew all of that. I was just seeing if anyone knew the weight (Stealth V8).
It's Satin Black-ish right now, lol. I'm sure it'll be flat soon again, they just didn't have enough flat...
I'm also *this close* to taking my headliner down, removing XM/On-star wiring, and reupholstering it.

The bottom part of the seats come off by unlatching a handle under each seat cushion, i.e., there are two latches. Pull the latch, then pull up on the cushion. Wash, rinse, and repeat for the other side.
AlabamaGuy, you can get rid of OnStar and still retain XM. The only way they are related is via the antenna on the roof. Ditch the antenna and replace it with the older style single XM stub if it bothers you.
I'm not too sure where the VCIM (OnStar module) is located in the Monte Carlo though.

That was surprisingly easy, lol. 2 latches and 5 bolts. Tomorrow is the day, kinda nervous, don't know why I race all the time...
Bama, ours are behind the carpet on the driver's side of the trunk, you check there?

Thanks. I got a friend who may drive it down once for me, lol. He owns one of the highest horsepower Jettas and the fastest tune-only 135i in the US.

Quick question, though, paint the hood or satin clear and leave the CF showing?
And, thanks, Bama, people either love it or hate it, no middle ground, lol. I for one love it and think the satin is much better than the flat. When's the SS getting blacked?

I'd leave the CF bare as long as the car is black.

I don't really like carbon fiber on cars. Reminds me of a ricer...I like the satin, kinda looks better than the flat IMO
