stupid factory xm antenna
Hey as some of you know, I replaced my xm radio module to siruis. I got my adapter to plug in the factory xm antenna, but it cuts out a lot on certain days.
I read up on a couple sites saying that the xm antenna is made for different altitude vs the sirius antenna.
So this means I have to put the shitty magnetic antenna on the car again.
Too bad they didn't make power booster one

Do you think it would be possible to gut the factory base, and put the magnetic one in it on the roof, the reinstall the gutted base to act as a cover? is the room under it? Will the cover interfere too much? I remember seeing a cts with this done a few months ago at the dealership. might be worth a try, if it doesn't work it can always go back together. just a thought.
