Bought a Spare Transmission...Need Advice
Got a sweet deal on a 10,000 mile 4T65-HD out of a wrecked 2007 Impala SS. I figured it would be smart to have a spare on-hand, since my warranty runs out in November.
Since I won't need this tranny until the rebuilt stocker in car quits, I'd like to perform a few upgrades with durability in mind.
Now, I won't be racing the car or beating on it, but it needs to be reliable enough to take the 1000 miles a week the car gets. I obviously don't want to spend a ton of money, either, since it's a spare.
So, what upgrades can/should I make to improve every day reliability?

I actually checked there first, and the site really doesn't say what dies first in these trannies.
I do know that the converter dies pretty often, and the debris wipes out the tranny. That's what happened to me the first time. Maybe I should just order an upgraded converter to go in with it and be done!
