Default Want to improve top end

Like the title says. I did a guick search (top end) and really didn't see anything that stood out, but I didn't read through all of them.
All I have now is K&N intake other wise the car is 100% stock. was thinking about just adding a cut out and a tune and being done with it. I really don't want to do to much to the car.
Also any one know of a tune shop in MO????

I think I read on here that the ID of the stock downpipe gets as small as 2" so I would recommend the catless downpipe too.

Cat vs catless really isn't going to do much. A tune and a DP will help, maybe rockers too?

Did you replace just your cat with a hi flow unit or the entire downpipe?

If you take the stocker off and have a look, you'll see that the internal diameter of the pipe is like 1 3/4", spec'd right off the S/C v6 models. It's a shame a V8 has to breathe through that. Get a Hogan DP, 3" mandrel bends.

Agreed the DP on this car is terrible. Personally I would just keep the stock cat and get the local exhaust shop with a mandrel bender to make one up. Or buy the mini pipe.

I had the Wbody Store (Hogan) catted and you get a code if you aren't tuned.

Catless DP here. With the bigdaddies mechanical o2 fix. No code. Definitely improved second gear.

Catless DP and a tune. These cars tend to get VERY lean after this mod and need to be retuned.

Speaking of tunes.. what would one do if there is no one around to tune it?

Get a custom tune on a diablosport tuner?? Just buckle down and learn to use hp tuners? Send an ECU to someone who will tune it? What's the best option?

do not send it out for a tuner. if you cant get a dyno tune get a hp tuner or the diablosport and learn how to do it. the hp supports the trans as the diablo doesnt

You're plenty within driving distance for tuners. Post in the Southern Section and get some recommendations.

Well I didn't vector motor sports did, ya it was fine for a few days then the C.E. light came on and when i took it to the dealer for diagnostics it was the PO420 code they said being caused by my down-pipe. Kinda P.O.ed about that because it causing my remote start not to work. But to their credit they said they re dyno. it for free just have to find time to go
