When you get all this work done, you have to get a video of your mods and possibly a drive video as well....I am guessing 325/340.

you need to get a video of all this work so we can appreciate the time and effort that you have put into your ride... Also, a drive video would be nice too... Just making a small request because I want to do the same things to my car as well and I just want to see if it is worth it...

Yes I hope to post up a video of the car. The “worth it question” is one that I still deal with, considering that you can now just throw a nonIC turbo on these motors and start smoking your tires. This build, this never ending and ever growing build is worth it to me because I am doing it with my son and I personally wanted to experience building/modding a car engine. I am working with some great guys that are willing to lend me their experience and help me along when I get stuck. This is where we are currently at: Engine is out and disassembled, we are currently freshing up the bottom end. We decided to do this because I purchased the car used, it now has 80k miles on it and I keep my cars forever. So far everything looks good, crank, cylinders, rods, pistons; we are going to replace the rings and the bearings. Heads are being treated to a very light port, polish and shave. Valves are being cleaned up (they were pitted) and then reset. We plan on upgrading the fastening hardware but will stick with GM gaskets. Right now I am learning about oil pumps, high volume verses high pressure. I hope to turn the key in 30 days
