Tinted taillights
I have some honeycomb for you but they are not tinted..They are white!! but they have the red len..
Just to clear up a post made in this thread.. I DONT use black tint/clearcoat mix..At first I did but a year & a half ago I switch & started doing them a different way..I feel is better for the lighting & easier to do the lightly tinted tails.. Light tint or light to med tint is the best way to good. Why? Because you want to show off the tinted lights not be getting your ***** busted for them.. Dark tail lights look nice but they are not worth the hassle..
I have been lightly tinting state police cars in MA.. unmarked Chargers & fusions..

so unmarked cop cars can have tints, but they harass kids who do it to their cars ... luckily i think i did mine just perfect and i have never been pulled over for them ... but then again, i dont speed in the daytime and hardly ever drive like a kid anymore ... the tints i used to have are a completely different story

well they just erased a fairly drown out post/ encouraging pep talk ... suffice it to say, im not retyping it ... so heres the important parts
1- try stuff yourself ( sack up and try, pay someone else if you screw up to fix it )
2- people saying theyre scared how it will turn out pisses me off ( as an avid hobbyist/ tinkerer/ art teacher/ artist ... its like someone saying " i can only draw stick figures " rip my ******* hair out )
3- let me show you a close up of mine and you can tell me if you think i did niteshades or had someone else do it ... and youll probably be wrong ...
4- flips are awesome, so if after all this, youre still hesitant, just use him
- sorry ... the picture i was thinking of is on my laptop and im not booting it up just for you ... but these are close/ good enough to prove my point i hope
they may look completely black now ( obviously the cutout helps retain the original brightness and adds character ) see the second one for nightish brightness

i decided im going to do it my self prob next weekend when i get some time...yours seem to be the perfect darkness how many coats do you have?
do yourself a giant favor and at least read my write up over at montecarloforum once ... give yourself an idea of what youll need to do to get them to look like i did ...
it was when i did my headlights but obviously you can apply the process to whatever ...
write-up for niteshades
and Don, im not saying its not alot of work, or hard for that matter, but you saw my car ... can you honestly say its not worth trying if those are the results you could expect ???
i encourage anyone to try something theyre comfortable with ... obviously, i cant machine aluminum in my garage like Don can, which is why i bought his braces, i cant do any kind of engine work, because im scared shitless ill **** it up ... but wiring up my headunit, scared the living hell out of me ... but i did it ... sure it took some trial and error but i got it done with help and advice from the shop i bought everything from ...
if youre willing to spend the time to teach yourself, even if it costs more of your time than it would have your money to pay someone else in the first place ... you can still do them again, faster, cheaper and easier down the line ...
what good is not trying ?
