That'll work for me as well. Any drag strips close by? I'd love to get my cars quarter.

Don't know about any drag strips; but there's always the Sunday Night car show at Bakers of Milford; their located just outside the entrance to Kensington park. I hear their food is pretty good too! Oh yeah and we'd be down the street from the General Motors Proving Grounds; (photo op) although there ain't much to see at the main entrance to the grounds.

you can come to the dragstrip with me and my buddies once it opens in spring. its about 25 min drive from my apartment in mt pleasant.

and bakers is a nice venue, i went the the MIfbody meet there a couple years ago.

thats about a hour and a half drive for me from sterling hts but its always fun driving the gxp especially on the highway

naw, bout 45 min tops, I do that drive all the time.

Also, milan dragway is about an hour from kensington/ bakers/ proving grounds.

I'm the noob in GR, and I'd like to make it if it fits between busy family and work life. Definitely would be fun to get to the track, Martin US 131 MSP is closest to me but not real central unless we have people from Chicago etc joining in. Its about 20 minutes up 131 from I94.

I'm not opposed to the Kensington idea, and Central MI works too. I'll keep an eye on this thread for dates.

Pick a date in the Spring, get at least 5 people to commit, and I will host it at my office and good supply food and beverage. I have a huge parking lot and can see the Capitol from my office. We can take a spin around the Capitol loop. I did it with my Z (Nissan/Datsun) Z club and it was a blast. Several folks I know from the NAIOA site and Impalaforums.com would show up too. Plus one of my business partners who has an 08 SS. So I figure if we can get 5 here on this forum, then the total will be at least a dozen, which would make it worth it.
