transgo shift kits are great.

You can get one from TEP and various other places.

I have the transgo. Whether it's my transmission or the shift kit, I still don't bark 2nd. As childish as that wish may be, I wish I could. I hear the Thrasher allows it with ease, whether or not that's good for the transmission is yet to be determined.

im really interested in getting a shift kit and doing the tranny cooler in one step ... i just need to find a shop around here that is more than a tire fixer/ oil change/ towing company because i know our "normal" shop would screw something up

ive not looked into this enough to even know, but what are prices on a shift kit and tranny cooler ???

thanks

:edit - should i wait on both of these until my warranty is completely done ??? still got like 3-4 more months i believe

You can do both of these in an afternoon in your driveway. Buy a Trans cooler, shift kit, some extra line, hose clamps, and hose splicers. Then pick up a trans filter and 8 (?) quarts of Dextron VI.

Just make sure you have a big pan to catch all that fluid.

There's a writeup on both. SHift Kit is a sticky and the trans cooler needs to be....Let me do that real quick...

While you are at it, install a drain plug on your tranny pan. Kit is like $7 from b&m. God knows we will all have to drop the pan again eventually. Maintenance or otherwise...

I'm not sure where you can buy the Thrasher (maybe ZZP). Any 4T65e shift kit will work though.

yeah im going to call my local dealer first thing tmrw ( monday ) and see how much is left on my warranty before doing anything "permanent" that couldnt be removed easily enough to fool any inspection tech prior to approving warranty status, ...

because knowing my awesome luck lately, i would get everything bolted up and within 1000 miles something would break or i would puke fluid in a drive thru ...

whats the approximate $ total for everything, we talking around 100-200 bucks or closer to 500 ??? because i really want to get my old R/C car running again and thats first on my "list" ....

found a distributor within 5 minutes of my house that carries the TransGo kit, just going to call and check pricing,

are the kits the same thing just different manufacturers or are there some important differences that you should stray from ?
