Remove it. You'll get a more aggressive, deeper sound.

you will barely tell a difference with it removed, a tad bit more raspy, less restriction

I want my car louder outside, but I hate the helicopter mode. With a stock exhaust, without the resonater, is the 4-cylinder mode that much louder?

I have bee wondering about this as well Right now I have a magnaflow cat back and was wondering how different would it sound if I cut out the res. Also does any one know about a high flow cat or cutting out the cat on a GXP?

Mine sounded nice at idle but got raspy at throttle....but I had no cat.

here is mine with Thrush Welded series mufflers and no resonator, they werent broken in yet, this was like the day after ... now theyve quieted down a bit and you can really only hear the exhaust over casual stereo volumes around 2200 -2600 rpm ... but i like the sound so much more than stock and considering mufflers, pipe to replace the res and labor were totalled less than 200 ... id say it was worth it, i would ditch the Cat but unfortunately i live in illinois ... and the "al gore" mentality is alive and well here
