Going after a friends RT. need suggestions Raced him a few months ago. From a 20 and a 40 roll he put a solid 2-3 between us. Both cars had passengers.

my car as ran a 14.65@96
I would say his car a a solid 4 mph on me. Im wondering if a DP and tune would level it out?

I believe he just has mufflers and resonator deletes. I thought I read that doing mufflers on the impala ss was no real gain?
I need to look into the ls6 swap to find out what all is needed to do it.

With a tune, intake and exhaust u should be able to beat him. i lost against a R/T with the road and track package (has the daytona exhaust, racing seats, better gearing and more horsepower than the regular r/t). i lost by a half of a car length but thats when i first got the car it took me a while to get used to it.
