Default Build Update

We had a very exciting day today. We were able to turn over the engine for the very first time. Brought the engine up to operating temp, no fluid leaks and no out of place vibrations. The headers are not hooked up to the exhaust yet so we were very limited on checking other stuff. The current plan is to hook up the exhaust on Monday/Tuesday and then start checking on engine noises and start addressing whatever comes up.
A while ago I posted a sale thread about selling some stuff. Due to being a one car family, my wife and I both working, working on this car and having a teenage daughter still needing rides I have not responsed to any PMs, sorry about that. Once I get the car on the road I will respond.

Nice. For some reason my eyes went straight to the toolbox lol. My Snap On box is about the same size of the bottom portion, haven't been able to afford the top chest!

You know what they say; what's better then owning a boat? having a best friend that does! My very good friend owns the shop and has been the tech. advisor, lead mechanic and bartender on this project.

So I guess you're ditching DoD/AFM?

Roger from VHP is great to work with: great automotive background, quick replys and always has time to talk with you. I also purchased the rocker/rod/dual springs from him. Yes DOD is gone, I replaced the lifters, pockets, oil pump and the valley cover. All that is left to do is to tune it out, via a tune or a handheld. My place of work is 3 traffic lights away, shopping is about 3-5 lights away. I spend very little time at highway speed so it never was a concern for me.

I must have missed the thread where you list the specs of the new engine. That cam should be perfect for the ls4. What heads/ intake are you using? From the looks of the pictures you're using some ported LS6 heads.

Damn dude who rolled the camaro?

My son lost control (speeding in the rain?) on I-95 coming home from work. The car got caught up in a cable guard rail. One of the cables came up over the hood and crushed the roof. My son was trapped in the car between the steering wheel and the door panel. What is very remarkable was that he was not hurt.

Car mods:
K&N intake
LS1 intake, fuel rail and injectors
Stock Heads: light p/p and shaved .01
Rockers/Rods/Dual Springs
056 Boss cam
DH Headers
Magnaflo cat back
Wet Kit
TEP trans w/3.29s and upgraded TC

Other; bottom freshed up, LS6 lifters and buckets, LS6 ported oil pump, ARP bolts and studs, trans cooler
