Intake and Exhaust Manifolds Hey pals,
I was thinking of doing something with my intake and exhaust manifolds. I was looking at the LS7 manifolds. What type of jobber is replacing stock with the LS7 or 6 manis? Or can something be done with the stock manifolds to make them perform better? I have time now since my car is garaged for the winter.

You should try a search, this has been covered a lot.
Exhaust:
Port/Coat the stockers and a Hogan DP, headers from DT.
Intake:
Ported LS4 Manifold from FasterProms, LS1 Swap, LS2 Swap, LS6 Swap

I know of 1 guy running the LS7 manifolds on a transverse LSX 427 with the 4T65e-hd. The rear one required some work to clear the tranny...

I am planning to run the LS7 manifolds as well, but I have a manual tranny and room to route the exhaust under the engine.

I know there's more room, I just meant how is the trans gonna handle an LSX 427 when our 325 eats them like it's nothing.

I wanna know how long it lasts.
Don's engine dyno'd 621 crank hp prior to the install. On the very first part throttle shakedown run with him lifting on the high end it ran an 11.06. On the 2nd run the torque converter let go. This tranny had been built with lots of hard parts and custom converter, but there was .040" misalignment between the engine/tranny that help lead to the failure.
It is back together again with the 1" chain and more... Don used to have the quickest 1/4 mile fiero on PFF for several year (11.3's), but sold the car to build this one. He is aiming for the 9's and wants to regain his title.
