Just The Tip Has anyone changed their exhaust tips? I've painted mine flat black, but I'd like to go with something bigger like 4-5 inch tips in chrome or black chrome. Have pics of your tips?

can tips change the sound at all or are they purely aesthetic ?
because in both cases i really need some new tips -look and sound ... when its cold out, like it is now, my exhaust kind of hits the low pressure under my spoiler and stays there while accelerating, my friend says it looks like my car is on fire and he cant read my plate its so bad

Those are 4" ss tips I picked up off ebay. They have a 2.5" inlet
They are easier to clean than the stock tips for sure.

Same tips on a G8. I prefer rolled tips myself though.

i really need to find some new tips then, because mine are pitted like crazy and i think holding back the flow from the mufflers a bit ... I WANT LOUDER ... but i wont go straight pipe cause im not that much of an *** to my neighbors ...
anybody got any pics of slash cuts 3.5" to 4" on a monte or impala ... i suppose gxp too ... but it seems as if the pontiac boys like to keep their quad tips

sorry for the huge pics, they look a lot better in person, I can give you more pics once i get my high sport on too, then it will look more like your monte
