DOD When Motor is Cold
have had mine disabled for 5 years, a couple months after I bought the car...

One really important one is the engine must be at operating temperature and in closed loop.
You are drivine an Impala so we have the ability to just put the gear selector in 3 (drive)
and the DOD is disabled... it cannot activate.
Do you have a diablo scanner/tuner? or some means of data logging...

Factory settings keep DOD disabled for the first 60 seconds of engine run time and while the coolant temp is under 104*F. Might be worthwhile bumping one, or both of those.
I have disabled DOD in third gear, so engine warms up completely before I hit a road with a speed limit high enough to hit fourth gear.
yep, got hit with 13" of snow last friday... and now this wednesday, we're supposed to get whacked with another 12+ inches from a Nor'Easter comin...

I think I'll just accerate faster than a 20 second 0-60 in the morning so it doesn't occur.
Whaaa... I love Buffalo, there is currently only 4 inches of show on my grass. This 1 - 2 inches at a time is a waste of my time. I enjoy a good 12 inches... easier to snowblow.
