Post GP GXP Brakes

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has tried downgrading their brakes on a 2006 GP GXP? I only use mine as a normal driving car, and brake rotors and pads can get quite expensive. Other than physically matching up rotors, i was curious if rotors from other W body frames are compatible with the dual piston calipers and hub size of the GXP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why not just get some blank rotors that are not too expensive and a decent brake pad. Should save you some cash instead of getting cross drilled etc.

That's what i want to do, sorry if i wasn't specific. I haven't been able to find any blank rotors for the GXP, but ill search some more. i was just wondering if anyone has swapped rotors from a monte or impala ss, they should be the same hub size, but i wasnt sure if they would match up with the caliper and mounting bracket.

Pepboys has gxp rotors for $93/per. They are cross drilled and the cheapest I have found them.

I recently did the pads on my GXP. Took the rotors to a brake specialty shop and they actually recommended that I not cut or replace the rotors as they are still in perfect shape (57k miles). If you absolutely need rotors, either pep-boys as stated above or Autozone both sell Drilled rotors for the GXP for great prices, along with pads (pads can be had for ~$60-70 for all 4 corners). I would definitely NOT downgrade if you can at all swing it, I mean we're talking about the most important safety feature on the whole car, why would you want to skimp on it??
