GP GXP Brakes Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has tried downgrading their brakes on a 2006 GP GXP? I only use mine as a normal driving car, and brake rotors and pads can get quite expensive. Other than physically matching up rotors, i was curious if rotors from other W body frames are compatible with the dual piston calipers and hub size of the GXP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's what i want to do, sorry if i wasn't specific. I haven't been able to find any blank rotors for the GXP, but ill search some more. i was just wondering if anyone has swapped rotors from a monte or impala ss, they should be the same hub size, but i wasnt sure if they would match up with the caliper and mounting bracket.

I recently did the pads on my GXP. Took the rotors to a brake specialty shop and they actually recommended that I not cut or replace the rotors as they are still in perfect shape (57k miles). If you absolutely need rotors, either pep-boys as stated above or Autozone both sell Drilled rotors for the GXP for great prices, along with pads (pads can be had for ~$60-70 for all 4 corners). I would definitely NOT downgrade if you can at all swing it, I mean we're talking about the most important safety feature on the whole car, why would you want to skimp on it??
