^^ Guilty as charged. I am hesitant to do anything as I still have 2.5 years of warrantee left. I don't want them to blame the failure on anything I did. As soon as it is out of warranty, immediately plan on getting a cooler. In the meantime, I am getting fluid and filter changed every 30K miles at the dealer. I know they cannot deny a claim if I have a preoperly installed cooler, but it does not mean they can't try. Interested in feedback. Thanks in advance.

I had two trans failures, both happened under warranty, and I had no problems with the dealer.
All dealers are different, but I seriously doubt they'd give you a hard time over it. It's not a cai or catback, which add power.
If you're not sure, call the dealer and ask the service manager.

Also, another cheap mod idea. Change the SS color on your headrest. Patience and ultra fine Sharpie. I am the cheap mod king. LOL

I have a pretty good relationship with them, so I will call as suggested. Just to clarify, you had both the cooler and the shift kit when trannys were covered under warranty? Or just the cooler?

I had the cooler but no shift kit. To be honest, there's really no way for the dealer to know it's a got a shift kit in it unless they go into the valvebody with their tech manual and look for it. And even then, it would be really hard to tell. Also, the way the car drives with the shift kit, I doubt a tech would even suspect it.
And just to clarify, neither the shift kit nor cooler will guarantee that your trans doesn't die. It's just give you a little insurance.

^^ thanks. I think I will look into the cooler. If you do the SS, just take the headrests off and take them inside and take your time. About 15 minutes per headrest.

As for the other stuff, I recommend you do a search because there are a lot of threads on those topics.

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to get to the wires & plugs in the back of the engine. The fronts I can do with no problem but the back looks like it's gonna be a B***H!!! My check engine light is on & the code indicates a misfire on #7, which with my luck is gonna be in the back. ![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
Also, where is the onstar module & how do I get to it?? Any help would be MUCH appriciated...
