Lew's DiabLew Tune: STILL the ****!
I got my updated tune from Lew yesterday. Needed it turn off the rear O2 and compensate for the catless do and CAI. Of course, had to tease me with a tune without torque management enabled, and I couldn't believe how hard it pulled. Too bad I couldn't keep it, but I need DoD.
Anyway, drove out to Vegas last night, and with Lew's latest DoD tune, and I have to say it again: His tunes are freaking AMAZING! We made 300+ mile trip on half a tank of gas @ a steady 67-70 MPH cruise. The DIC says 27.1, but I know It's not accurate, especially after the tune. I'll calculate today when I fill it up and post the result in this thread.
Also, the TEP upgrades are really making a difference. The trans temps stayed in then120's for most of the drive.
I had forgotten how much his tune woke up my car (it's been 3 months on the stock tune because of all the trans problems) and it pulls even harder now that I have other mods.

That would be pretty obnoxious, wouldn't it, Nick?
We had a pair of Magnaflows welded on when Rebs did the catless dp. It sounds much better, now. It's just as loud as before on the outside, but much quieter inside.
My wife hates it because she thinks It's too quiet.

Thanks, Nick.
We were talking about the exhaust this morning, and I told her she can have whatever exhaust system she wants on the next car.
She said she wants a Cadillac XLR-V minus the cats.

I was thinking about a DP but what are the advantages of having one? Less restrictive flow?
Lew is the man with the tunes. Love the way my GXP pulls. Wish it was spring right now. Driving a Camry 4 banger for the winter

Thats awesome. My wife has definitely come around since we got together. I told her she will always have to deal with 1)Dukes of Hazzard re runs. 2) Loud exhaust on any car I own. 3) Trying to make everything: (lawn mowers, weed whackers, snow blowers etc.) faster

Catless DP is less restrictive than a stock, catted DP. The differences aren't as huge as they used to be, back when converters were REALLY bad, but it still makes a difference. Our car, now that it's tuned, really responded to it, as you'll see in my next post down.
Yeah, she digs the BVLGARI cluster and real wood. I figure, in the next few years, these will be in the 30K range so we can pick one up as her driver.

Drove back from Vegas yesterday. We got lucky because there was NO traffic.
Anyway, I was excited when the DIC said we got 29.8 MPG when we stopped to fill-up.
But I was utterly shocked when I did the actual math calculation: The DiabLew-Tuned Impala got 31.45 MPG on constant 65-72 MPH cruise over the 300 mile trip. There was even about 12 miles of city driving thrown in. So, I guess the DIC is a bit pessimistic!!!
I'm sure the tighter converter, CAI and the catless downpipe helped, but it was Lew's tune that tied it all together.
Thanks, again, Lew! YOU RULE!!
