Tighter converter ? To you guys that whent with the tighter converter what was your opinion and what was the end result

I'm not aware of anyone besides me who went tighter.
And like I've said in the other threads, I love the way it feels. Most of the slop in city driving is gone, and the car drives much more crisply. It looks like the car has also picked up about 1 MPG in city driving.
The only downside is that the transition from 4 to 8 cylinder mode and back is more noticeable, as is TCC lockup and unlock.

stall and 3.29s I upgraded my TC and went with 3.29s when I had my transmission rebuilt last June. The TC was very pricey but considering what I wanted to do with the car and to insure longevity I really didn't think I had a choice. MY transmission temps went up after the install and my car really pulled harder. My mods at the time were K&N intake, ported intake, Hogan downpipe w/cat, magnaflo catback and a Diablo 93oct tune.

Unless you're going to cam or run sticky tires, a gear change does little for performance gain. Just going to spin your tires more.
I guess I should restate. Mathematically yes, the rpm drop should stay the same but I think it has something to do with the converter and how the gears load the engine. On a manual engine you can forget about it, the drop in rpm will be the same.

i think id b nice to put the lower stall in and shut off the dang DOD, never thought a v8 in 4 cylinder mode would be louder....

To be clear, it's not the noise that's more noticeable, but rather a slight bump or surge. It's kind of like having DoD with torque management removed.
