25 psi, brake to 2k-ish, half throttle until you think it'll hook. Also, depends on the track, I could go third to half throttle and easily spin badly when I went to the one closest to me, that's with 25 psi and 275 tires. Best 60' of the night was 2.1, worst 3.0.

Thanks all. I have heard this question asked on other forums with insulting answers. This is the first time I actually got something to work with. I am no stranger to powerful or boosted cars, I just have not seemed to grasp decent launches in this one. I cannot wait to try it.

Looks like most of us use the same technique, slight brake stall with a half throttle launch until it hooks and then away you go. My best 60' so far is a 2.0x on street tires using this technique (on a well prepped track that is). Best of luck man!

Thats the kind of practice I can enjoy! Thinking that waiting until my winter rims and snow tires are off is prudent though.

Sounds stupid I guess, but I have never had to brake torque before to launch. I know how to do it. The stupid part is that I never once thought of trying it with the SS. Thanks again for the guidance. My other notable powerful cars have been RWD turbo manuals or AWD beasts. I could launch those effectively without issue. This FWD SS had me stumped.

I don't, I just spin them enough to lose the debris.

This. Usually floor it from about a 5 mph roll and lift off until it starts to bite, then roll up and wait on the honks...

At the track I'll put it down, floor it and take it off, then lift off the gas. Enough to get a little smoke rolling. However, my tires are of a consistency that lends itself to heating more than the average street tire. (DZ101s FTW)
