Maybe two weeks ago I replaced both front axles because my passenger side was full of grease under the car and around the axle. I checked it while on the car and couldn't find a hole or anything but after removing it I found a small hole. What could be cause an anlxe to go bad that quick?

I'm thinking I may have bought a bad axle from advance auto, cause this one look like it is leaking from one of the clamps. Oh yea when I went to remove the axle bolt it wasn't really tight at all so this may have some to do wit the tranny slippage I'm getting.

A lot of axles purchased from those parts retailers are remanufactured. It may be a possibility that it was defective. Now about the tranny slippage, as long as the gears are meshing correctly from the tranny to the axle, that shouldn't make a difference.
