Welcome, first mod I would do is save another $1500 for TEP Trans.Check out the sticky about how many trans problems there are. Then I would start modding the motor after you have built trans.I learned the hard way $3000 later

And you don't even need to spend $3000. You can get an "improved" trans from TEP for $1650. This is all that is needed for a simple bolt-on car, and will be perfectly reliable. If you're gonna start adding LS6 intake, headers, or a power-adder, then you'll need the better hardware, like Dom is suggesting above.

Our transmissions are ticking time-bombs, and it's the first thing I would upgrade for reliability. Besides, they're more fun with a shift-kit!

Also, cheap mod, relatively, Don Rome modified strut braces - I ordered mine last week, heard great things about them. 185 bucks for front and rear including brackets and shipping. Cannot wait until they arrive!

Mine was so much because shipping, core charge, and ECM/TCM upgrade, after its all said and done it should be around $2600

This and a trans cooler to start. Then save for transmission upgrades.

No handheld (ie. Superchips/Diablo Preditor, etc) work for 07+. Diablo only works for 06.
