hazards280-new guy here [impala ss guy] . your wheels look nice, very sharp !! alcoa what kind of wheels are they ? factory gm ? looks like chrome ? do they weigh more or less than my regular chrome factory [ 18]"wheels ? how wide/18"? in your pictures front tires look bigger / taller ? will they work on my 2008 ss impala.. thanks for any information ! rkvette

i just got mine back from the body shop, im getting the tips welded tommorrow morning and getting it cleaned in the afternoon! pics to follow tommorrow night.

They are the OEM alcoa's. As far as what metel the rim is made out of, I cannot tell you. I do know however that the tire shop was very impressed with how lightweight the rim was when they were putting the new tires on. Once again, these are factory rims, I have no changed one thing. The 05-06 GP GXP's had the Alcoa's compared to the newer ones 07-08 having a "offbrand" of sorts.
The GXP also had a staggered wheel setup from the factory as well with 255 in the front and 225's in the rear. This was to help with torque steer. So what are you seeing is correct. The front wheels are actually wider than the rear's! The front rim is also 8" wide and the back's are 7"s wide.
As far as mounting them on you Imp, I really cannot say rather they would fit or not. Maybe another member will chime in.
