Default Rocker arm replacement question

I just received my new LS 1.8 roller rockers for my 07 MCSS.( I bought the Scorpions, got a great price) Gonna put them on with some new LS6 yellow springs when I do my LS6 intake swap, I also have the truck coils to put on. OK... my question: For those of you that have already swapped in 1.8 roller rockers.... What proceedure did you use to remove the original rockers and install the new ones? The instructions that came with my new roller rockers state that you must bring the valve up to the closed position before unbolting the original rocker or you will strip the threads in the head. My Haynes repair manual states to just unbolt them all, no mention of having to rotate the engine and move the valves up to their closed position.
I can understand the theory that while the rocker arm bolts are fully threaded in, they can withstand the compressed valve spring pressure and that if they are unbolted to the point that only a few threads are are left holding them , that any remaining spring pressure may strip the last few threads. But has anyone had this experience? Can the original rockers just all be unbolted without rotating the engine to bring up the valves? Maybe these instructions are just valid for other LS engines with stiffer springs, but seeing as the LS4 springs are not as stiff, maybe this won't be a factor?
What about installing the new 1.8 roller rockers? Any comments? Hints? Answers?

I haven't installed them but I would make sure all the valves are closed when removing them and reinstalling them. better safe than sorry and haynes sucks anyways.

I had no problems just unbolting them all at once.

Brought all cylinders to TDC on the compression stroke to change the valve springs and install/torque the new rocker arms.

The bolts are quite long, valve spring pressure is released before you get to the last few threads. No harm in rotating the crank - if it makes you more comfortable go with it, it's not like it adds any complexity to the task.

What did you use to keep the valves up when replacing the springs? I have the air tool that screws into the spark plug hole and uses compressed air to hold up the valves. I have also heard that using a piece of rope pushed into spark plug hole and rotating the engine so piston pushes rope up against valves works well. Or is the piston at TDC up close enough to the valves that they will not fall down any into the cylinder?

I used compressed air with the "tims tool" to remove the springs. About 90psi is all you need

I used the same thing, but at lower pressure.
