2nd gear launch with 3.29's?

2nd gear launch with 3.29's? i was just wondering since racing season is almost here, has anyone seen any better 60' or et's by launching in second gear with the gxp's either with the stock (2.89 i think) gear or the upgraded 3.29? also its been a long time since i've been on and saw some vids of cars revving up way past our limiter! how is the rev limiter removed? thanks in advance

I just had my tranny rebuilt by TEP and had the 3.29 gears installed. I have to say second gear was a dog with the 2.93. Now the difference is pretty big with the 3.29. Second gear when you floor it really pushes my car. I am really happy with it. I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS.

I am not sure what they are but it is definately faster. Dave at TEP did verify this as I just got my tranny rebuilt buy him. It was stated that I might get a little better mileage in the city but loose about 2 miles per gal on the highway. I have lost a little miles per gal but this tranny really woke the car up. First and second gear shift sooner, but when you hammer it second gear is a pretty big difference.
