Well I am stuck between probably flowmasters 40 or 44 and magnaflows

For those with the magnaflows do you have the whole exhaust or just the mufflers? What can I expect if I chose to get the whole system installed? more hp than just the mufflers? Louder? more or less gas mileage with the whole setup?

I am not the smartest when it comes to cars so I'd like some help. Im in the detroit area if anyone is around I'd love some thoughts and suggestions

I bought the complete magnaflow cat back kit. One of the nicest exhaust systems I've ever installed on a vehicle before. The sound is fantastic.

I have a custom made 3 inch pipe(no res) from cat to a 2.5 y pipe and using flowmaster 44's and it sounds real beefy and not irritating inside

Detroit seems like me and u are in the same boat and in the same area. I have bn looking on you tube at the exhaust and which ones to choose. I had ran straight pipes on mine and it sounded horrible so I put back my stock mufflers. I was going to post the same thread glad u did it first. But also I seen ppl with the thrust mufflers also. I need help also

Im running SLP loudmouth with no res...Same deep sound as the Magnaflow but a bit louder..Im very happy with it

No way to get the Srt sound, the motors are different designs. I have the Magnaflow cat-back, and an electric cutout. The Magnaflow was a step up, but nothing beats an open cutout!

dont get flowmasters because they sound like ****. trust me cause i have them. I want to change them but i keep buying other mods instead. do a search on mufflers here in this section. you should be able tofind some good brands.

I personally like my Flows. I mean yea it could be better catless, cat backs etc.. but **** at the end of the day I drive a fwd monte carlo ss. If I come across a gt500 Srt8 Ls7 or Ls9 Amg then maybe ill put that extra work with a exaust system. Until that that comes get what you can get. Ppl always tell me how loud my exaust is. From the inside its i hear my engine 40% flows 60% which isnt bad because i like hearing my engine.

Right about the performance part. I was basing my answer off of his question not what would I prefer. On top of that the flows I have on now were FREE! They came with the car. All im saying is im satisfied with the sound.
