Wish I could've traded mine for a CTS-V but ended up getting a M45 3 days ago. Hated to see the GXP go.

A buddy of mine that i used to work with has a M45x. I've never driven in it before but how are they? I know the inside is luxurious!

They're wonderful. I fell in love with it the second I went for a test drive. Besides having a beautiful inside, going from the GXP to the M45 the performance is like night and day. I don't regret this purchase.

How is it night and day between the M45 and the GXP, other than RWD?

Cornering, Pulling off from a dead stop and top end. That's just my opinion. Not bashing the GXP if that's what you're thinking. To me, in my opinion it's a all around better car.

if the m45 wasnt so expensive i would consider it. i think after this is paid off i might not go with another GM. I'll get flammed for saying this but the new Challenger SRT8 with the 392 is awesome. i went on a test drive with my uncle and that thing moves. The new charger looks pretty bad *** too but i cant think of getting a new car right now. this economy has me screwed up

I wouldn't mind a 396 or a 5.0.

Default G8 GXP vs V coupe -- other than being LS powered, there's not much in common

I was looking for a V wagon (stick) with none to be found within a reasonable distance and estimated delivery on a '12 built-to-order was July, so I packaged up my G8 GXP with 7k and my 99 Camaro SS with 13K and bought a V coupe two weeks ago. Absolutely no regrets. The GXP's fabulous looks and awesome soundtrack could just never make up for the abrupt throttle tip-in, crummy auto with unintended double down shifts, unnecessarily stiff ride with somewhat vague tracking at 80+, and a stereo that always sounded like a mono job from the 60's.

The V is in an entirely different league (OK, granted -- priced accordingly) but it does everything well that the GXP couldn't, except haul all three of my kids at the same time. Other than limited rear visibility while backing (at least it has a back-up camera for the wife), a useless (i.e. non sliding) sunroof and no real soundtrack worthy of an LSA (especially from within the car), this car is worth every penny. The ride is outstanding thanks to the magnetic shocks, the driveline is tight with a delightful clutch and stick, steering is precise and the motor is to die for.

I purchased what was one of the Cadillac factory display cars from the local auto show (the other being an auto sedan offered by the same dealer), so they had extra room on the price. I didn't get my color choice, and I lost about 3 months of in-service time, but the car was sold new with an MSO, had only 60 miles, came with the Recaros (I like 'em!) and I saved almost 8k off list -- and that was the cash price before we negotiated for the two trades, which were strong numbers in their own right.

Mortgage the house if necessary -- these cars, especially with a stick, are awesome, although the wagon would have been my preference. Let somebody else be impressed that they own the most powerful factory Pontiac ever once you unload your GXP to them. Other than being LS powered, there's not much in common.

Panamera is a wagon.

Second quickest.

It'd take the V any day, as well.

I love the CTS sedans, but I think that coupes look very odd, especially from the rear. Can't argue with the performance though
