EDIT: *sigh* The CTS-V sedan achieved a lap time of 7:59.32 at the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife, which was the fastest documented time for a production sedan on factory tires, until the Porsche Panamera Turbo clocked a time of 7:56 in July 2009. They weigh about the same, as well.

Sorry to dredge up an older thread, but I'm curious. Why do you say avoid the LS6? I've been looking lately, and 400 hp for < $18K seems pretty hard to pass up. Despite what I've heard about wheel hop, I'll still take the ability to carry some kids, a few suitcases, and scare some naive Corvette owners withna big smile.

I want an 06/07 V. I thought the new coupes looked odd, but I have seen a few driving around and they look pretty good.
Just kind of weird that the coupe and sedan weigh about the same.
