From what I've heard, a definite no-go.

It says "JDM" in the description, they have to be garbage. That's like Chinese for "knock off piece of **** built by the lowest bidder."

Halos go out, cheaply built, don't look that good, use terrible bulbs, etc.

^ Yea, that too..

You know, you can make your own Halos pretty easily... Ive made many sets and they take no time to build and cost literally like $15 to make and you will have materials left over...

Pretty expensive garbage.
Morimoto mini H1's will bolt right in , look better and provide way more light.
And will cost about the same
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227

Those things use a foglight bulb (H1 i believe?), not exactly safe on a car that goes out of the city. One of the grandprix forums ate those projectors alive for a solid 10+ pages , cant remember which though

You can get them cheaper on eBay. Also, I'd go for the CCFL (instead of LED) ones too.

And actually, there are better than stock since they are of a different design.

I'm still "working on" getting the minis inside of them. "Working on" meaning I haven't really done much in 6+ months.

I agree on swapping on those mini H1 projectors from theretrofitsource. By far the best lighting mod you can do!

Not to mention you can up them to 50watts without heat issues if you use a good philips , denso or morimoto bulb.

50 watt hids are over 5000 lumens of light per bulb , thats the equivalant of having your hibeams and lowbeams both on , and you get a better beam pattern more usable light and your not blinding other drivers.

Are you trying to put more light on the oad or just looking for something more attractive?

so what happens if you swap out your 35w bulb for a 50w without changing the transformer didnt know if its a resistance thing and it uses the same power supply

You mean run a 50watt bulb on a 35watt ballast?

Im not sure IF the ballast would actually ignite the bulb or not , im going to assume it would as im fairly certain that 50watt bulbs are the same thing just designed to withstand the added heat / stress of 50watts.
Lets say it did it would still only get 35watts and therefore only put out the same as a 35watt bulb.
