Default Time for the trans to get upgraded..

It's a ticking time bomb at this power level now. 6500 rpm makes it buzz pretty good. I've even tried 6800 lol

Just E-mailed Dave, at TEP so hopefully he'll get back to me soon.

I plan on doing a bunch of drag racing this season with sticky's so I don't wanna get stranded.

Hopefully I can get this build done for under 3500.00. I plan on having a local do the build in about 3 weeks.

Dam trans will costs more the I have in my motor. I really think 3.69's with a 2400 stall, slicks and spring blockers would peal the pavement

Going with stock stall and 3.29s though.

Heads are 2000.00 but I could sell my LS6's and do it for about 1500.00

Their worth about 27hp over the LS6 heads across the band on a 5.3 with the TFS cam, headers, truck intake and TB.

We would get a nice bump in compressin too! 10.5:1

Trans fisrt though and I need to stay on topic

Best to call Dave. He answers the phone a lot more often than he checks his email.

Just got off of the phone with Dave and he's a real nice guy..
I'm just waiting for the invoice so I can make the payment.

2800 stall PI converter
3.69's with single chain (Dave, likes this gear with my 6500 shifts)
Performance rebuild kit

I already have a cooler and Transgo shift kit.

Taking the car in once the converter gets here.

Yes, I'm staying N/A.
I'm hoping for 1.6 60ft's and low 12's @112 or so.. I have enough motor and cam, so I need to work on my 60 ft times.

Just got the invoice from Dave and paid it in full. 2100.00!
I've got a ZZP input shaft so I just need to take the car in once it gets here. I was quoted 1600.00 for install. Going to cost about 4000.00 when all is said and done..... Ouch!

$1600 for an install is pretty steep. My install was $800, and that included clutch pack work and a shift kit install.

Seems pretty steep to me to.
They gotta pull the trans, tear it down, rebuild it with Daves parts and then reinstall it.

Thats a pretty high risk. Considering itll be hard to find a tranny shop thatll give you a warranty using somebody elses parts. I just got qutoed 1200 from dave for the 3.29 gears, reflash the ECM & TCM for the gear change, the Precision TC, and the Performance upgrade kit. The local guy that is doin my trans as well as most of the other shops were right bout $1000 to rebuild and install, plus any additional parts that were needed. Thats the part thats gettin me now, cuz I actually waited for the trans to go instead of when it first started acting up. So Im paid an additional $600 in parts. So after everything is said and done my tranny is going to cost close to 3k for a lil bit better than stock trans.
