Doing my inner and outer tie rods on the front right side tomorrow. Difficult? I will also have air tools.

A special tool is required for inner tie rods, be sure you have it.

Outers are pretty easy though. Remember to hit the thing the ball joint goes into.

air tools might only help with getting the castle nut of the ball joint off the tie rod, and still might not help since half the time it will just make the entire thing spin with the nut.. .. . but like what he said above, you need a special tool. I wouldnt recomend doing this without an alignment immediately. I would rec. you just have this done at a shop. Cheap repair maybe an 1-2 hours labor charge

I'm using the on-base "do it yourself" auto hobby shop. They have the tool needed they said, and of course lifts and air tools. They also will do the alignment right after we get it done.

Just wondering how long this should take? Hopefully it'll go without a hitch.

if this is your first time im going to imagine 30-45 minutes a side.

The lift is definitely going to help i thought you were doing it on jacks which i could only imagine would suck.

inner tierod - special tool to make it easy, and youll need an alignment for sure

outer tierod- impact gun, bigass prybar and someone to stand on it, itll be off in minutes, tierod socket makes removal/install easy as well, wont need an alignment right away, just keep a close eye on your treadwear, I did my outer tierod on my LF wheel with no alignment and my tire is fine

BFH, leave the tie rod nut threaded on about 3/4 of the way hit it with the hammer boom it's off.
