GXP or Impala SS
i would say ss impala / best, get 2007>2009.. no to pontiac's, not made any more /parts/dealers,? etc.. buicks, no only for the old people.. monte 2006>2007 also a good choice, if back seats not used much..stay with chevy brand !! rkvette
The major differences
The GXP is going to give you the most performance. You get the best brakes, and the best suspension set up of any w body. But this stuff costs an arm and a leg to replace. you also have HUD, and Tap shift. Some cool retro pontiac stuff ( the vents and the engine turned trim on the insturment cluster). The seats are nice but the dash sucks. If your tall stay away!
The super has the same struts as the GXP. Remember its a Buick.....its also the rarest. This would make a great sleeper.
The monte ss is the lightest...has a nice interior and is a coupe.
The impala ss has a nicer interior. I think its the heaviest.

The Super is the heaviest. Ftr, I'm 6'3" 280lbs and fit in my car just fine.
And am I the only person who doesn't care how a dash looks? But I do like how ours is curved to the driver's side.
Food for though, GM spent months researching and testing the perfect setup for the wheels, to reduce torque steer and improve handling, and even had BF Goodrich make a tire specifically for the GXP.

i own a Impala SS, but as a former owner of a buick regal gs s/c 3800, there is nothing like pulling up to a stang or camaro, enticing them into a race, and beating them in the "old mans" car. if you can find a super, get it!
I am 6'8" and weigh 220 and I fit just fine in my GXP. I have had my GXP for a few years now and they are right about things being expensive. I agree the look of the stock wheels, brakes, and suspension LOOK A LOT better than the SS's but I cannot speak on feel. I have yet to drive another LS4 vehicle but my own. The HUD is an incredible feature that I love and the suede and leather seats are a nice plus too. Rotors, tires, and shocks are VERY expensive to replace. I LOVE MY PONTIAC THOUGH and its worth every penny.

I did not say I did not fit, but go sit in an Impala there is SO much more room it is crazy... The roof has to be 3 inches higher, if you are tall you will appreciate the room, I know I would, or should I say I know the person sitting behind me would...
If space is a concern, then the Impala is the way to go!

forget about the sporty look. plus the GXP radio is old, the steering wheel is like a bus wheel. it is a nice car tho..
