hud stopped working

Default hud stopped working

the hud on my 05 gxp stopped working on my way home from work today,is there a fuse linked to this or is the bulb the only thing that could be wrong?

just had a look at it and the spring is broken, how do i fix this?

working on getting it out now, i took out the 2 obvious 10mm bolts but there seens to be something else keeping it in there any idea what?

You also need to remove the speedometer too. There is a screw behind it (iirc) that needs to come out. It holds the actual HUD in. My biggest challenge was getting the actual HUD cover out. The one that runs the lenghth of the dash. Be careful because it can crack very easily.

Yeah, that damn bolt behind the IP cluster. And yes, that trim does tend to crack (mine is cracked as I type).
