Default Yet another Drag racing question

I have Nexen 245/45/18 on 18 exel rims (very good tread=90-85%) on the beast currently. Now are these decent to drag for these next two Fridays, or should I get some possible 17 inch "steelies" and throw some better tire sizes on them!! Cause I'm begining to think it might not be worth the money,.....

PLEASE HELP!!!

Get 17's on the front with the stickest of the icky you can find. Then find two regular grand prix owners, steal their spare tires and put them on the back of your car. Slicks n skinnies!!!

Not worth the money lolz.

Nexens are probably hard as glass, probably not going to be the best, but on a mostly stock car it should be alright.

Wouldn't some 16" steel LS wheels with a pair ET streets be better for racing?

Oh...That's right...GXPs have those enormous rotors that won't clear 16" wheels, right?

Can you grind them, or is it not even close?

On my 1999 Camaro SS, I was able to grind the calipers to get 15" draglites on it so I could fit drag radials.

Would that work?

I've been wary about asking about that... I'd have to come across a set to see.
