I really like the tinted tails. I tinted my tails last week and it was a real pain to get the clearcoat to come out looking half-decent. In fact, I spent 5 hours stripping the first attempt off before I found a chemical to strip them without destroying the plastic.

Yours look great though..

Wes

I had a friend do mine (owns a body shop). Gonna have him throw one more coat on them to make them a little darker. During the day, up close, you can still see the ugly red plastic they use to make the lights. Im also still looking for a reverse bar im going to have him do as well. Theses were done using a mix of automotive clear and black paint. So it should look better for longer. It'll cost more then using the VHT spray tint by having it done, but it looks way better. I spray tinted my tails on my GTP a few years back, and they looked awesome. For a year or so, then went to all crap and faded back to near clear. Which is why I decided to have these done the right way.
I did all the prep on them so they were ready to go. I sanded them down with 240, 300, 600, and wet 600. I took all the DOT numbers off and smoothed the plastic out. When molded they have some high and low spots in them, so I made them super smoother.

As for the compliments, thank you it appreciated. Couple things I forgot to mention was that months back I painted the lower half of the back bumper black. I originally used vinyl between the tips to see what it looked like. And I liked it, so I taped it off around the tips and used plastidip. I didn't trim the edge as nice as I'd like too but it doesn't look horrible. I plan on redoing it next spring. And the other is I added 6k HIDs to my fogs to match the 6k headlights.

Its a small plastic barb fitting made for plugging lisence plate holes from the factory. I got a few of them and a bottle of GM touch up paint. I sanded them down a bit to make them more low profile. Then put I think 4 coats on then a couple coats of clear. They pop right in and have held up for months now without an issue.

Went out playing with the new photography equipment I bought (still trying to figure it all out) and used my car as the test subject to shoot.

wish i could, it is on my list of to dos. ive been looking for a reverse bar since i bought the tails from you. just cant seem to come across them. with all the regular GPs out there i figure someone would be parting something out.

plan is to tint the front windshield with like 50% and do the rear window like 20 or so to darken the whole interior up. tint the reverse bar, get rid of the orange turn signal n the head lights, possibly tint the turn signals and headlights a little so they dont stand out so much and id liek to lower it a bit more. the front spoiler isnt seeming to work out well. though it is sturdy and not moving it does not sit flush and annoys me. im going to try to make it work, but saw a car yesterday that i think may have a factory piece that would closey fit the front of our cars. will know more later.

had them done the week i took those pics. i had been wanting to do them for a while after seeing a few people having issues with rock chips down the side. And after slinging snow to the rear wheel well from the front tire this past winter i thought it was time to take care of it.

1. Your tails look sweet.

2. What tips are those? I have the Magnaflow Catback on my car and I swear I have the same tips. I might recess mine in a little more. I like how they look .

Keep in mind that you may want to keep them just past the edge of your bumper so you don't get carbon build up on it.
