Oh the possibilities when you have access to a machine shop.

Hmm, I'm coming close to needing new front rotors. I may consider this. Wonder if you could use the stock caliper on a 14" disc for the added leverage with out the full extra cost of new calipers?

Can you please post caliper weights?
I know the stock CTS-V caliper weighs a little ove 10lbs with pads. What about the stock PBR caliper?

The stock GXP rotor weighs 24-25lbs and the 14" GT500 rotor weighs 25lbs.

No, 14" rotors will not work with the OEM PBR calipers; they're too large.

No clue about caliper weights. I could get that information once this is complete.

The GT500 rotors weigh 26.2 lbs each whereas the GXP and CTS-V rotors both weigh the same, 25 lbs each. Not bad for over an inch increase in diameter.

The brake lines and bleeder valve seem to be powder coated over. will those be powdercoated in the production versions? It kinda takes away from the mechanicalness of the Big rotor and makes it look a little cheesy. Still Very Very interested though.

Those aren't powder coated; they're painted. They're at the powder coaters right now though.

The bleeders won't be coated but the lines will (see the image below).

Possibly.

The ideal color for these calipers is gold. Of course, then there's copper... This is achieved via some serious track work.

Finally got them installed yesterday so I'm still testing them out.

Here's a pic (I'll get more later):

They sure do.

I got that information you wanted. The stock GXP (PBR) calipers weigh 10 lbs each and 12 lbs with pads.

I'll be testing these out on the car for a week or so before some kind of release.

Thanks for posting up the weights. Those cts-v calipers are hard to find. I would love to run a pair with some 2 piece rotors.

Dirty lens takes dirty pictures. Here are some "clearer" ones (I need to find that damn digital camera).

I'm looking into a darker red.

I cannot speculate on price really as I'm not handling or receiving any of it. I do know that it will not being in the four figures range.
