Removed resonator on SS. Thoughts & Before/After vid.
First of all, sounds great. I experienced absolutely NO increased cabin noise. No drone, no vibration. Even at highway cruising. It only has a more throaty sound when you get on the gas. No codes, no check engine light. Spent $50 bucks and a local shop welded in the pipe in probably 20 minutes. Before and after vid posted next.

Well i think we are going to try the resonator removal first. has anyone tried using like 3inch exhaust where the resonator was instead for the stock like 2.5 inch, would it give it any noise difference such as deeper?

I cant imagine it would make much of a difference but it doesnt hurt to try. I also prefer a deeper sound as apposed to raspy. Im hoping when i do a muffler swap i can keep that. I've heard a lot of people get rasp w/o a resonator.

Yes still have the resonator and dod. It is a little bassy from 1800-2300 rpm inside. Not gonna lie, but have not heard the helicopter sound that people talk about with the dod. However I like my stuff loud and the WTF looks from people are funny.

I just did this as well a week ago, I just did it myself at our shop and it cost me 13 dollars for the 2.5" exhaust piping. I just cut the resonator out and welded the pipe in, it took me all of 15 minutes.
As far as the results, its definitely noticable but not super loud, just more of a metallic sound. I like it a lot better than before, I also agree that there is not much more cabin noise and there is no drone on the hwy at all.
