Lew's name on here is 06MonteSS. PM him for details or just visit his site to get ahold of him and to ask any questions. Lew has tuned a ton of LS4 engines and is probably one of the most reliable and stand-up guys to work with. I don't think I've read one complaint about his work. Everything is done through email, all you need is a Diablosport programmer (Predator/Trinity/inTune). A dyno tune is the best way to tune a vehicle but not everyone has access to a dyno and Lew's tunes have been dyno-proven to be pretty spot on.

So pros and cons....
Lee can get the programmer and custom tune for $685
So down the road if u modify anything else it's just 125 for a retune..
Flaco's in east side houston(65 miles from me) charges 350 for a full dyno tune and tweaks it if needed. I don't plan on doing any other massive changes to my car Untill it's paid off. Still owe on that beast, so for now I think I'm going with flaco... Saves $$$ now and I'm not sure what's going to happen down the road.

Maybe you do not see the whole picture.

Lews deal is as personalised as it gets and I don`t think tweeks cost you extra as you say... not that much any way if ever so.
The Trinity is a complete tool.
You can Datalog with it
You can at anytime restore the original tunes/tunes
You can read and clear/reset most Check Engine Codes
You can Monitor live any parameter or group of parameters
You can record any PID/Parameter
You can adjust many parameters yourself at any time
You can use it on other vehicles that are supported now and the future
(Tune 1 vehicle at a time for now)
You can choose which tune /tunes to install/ uninstall
You can update it for any supported vehicle for FREE...forever
You get a warrenty and full tech support
You get ( ) something that I will fill in soon.

Right on no I didn't know that. I'm thinking like a super chip programmer kinda plain with 4 keys... That's a very good point.... Thanks for the info

no, that 125 is the tune cost if someone just gets the tune... The package deal you're talking about, includes the tune, and readjustments/re-tunes for new mods or what have you, are included free for the first year... After that, its a reduced rate from the regular tune cost for another year, etc... plus there's all the benefits that illborn mentioned above

And you can't get custom tuning done for a superchips

What year is your car?

I have a Flaco tune on my car and am happy with the results. Not to mention he took me on about an hours notice when I came into town for a weekend after another tuner F*ed me over.

But there are other benefits to going with a tune from LEW, I may have gone this route but there's no support for my 07(yet).

As far as flaco. I have one buddy that had his Chevy truck ls4 tuned there and with nothing else to compare it to.... It seems pretty good.. But there again we have NOTHING to compare it to...

oh I have the ability to, its the Diablo programmers that don't

The 07's and newer use the E67 ecm, instead of the E40 like the 06's use... And right now, Diablo's programmers do not support the E67 ecm in the ls4 cars...

The Trinity now DOES support the E67 for the newer caddy cts-v's tho, so support for our ls4 is coming... Next on their list is to add support for the E67 ecm's in the trailblazer ss, and then also our ls4 vehicles...

How soon on the LS4 support? My wife's 08 will be out of warranty in a few months, then I'm going to start looking at a programmer for her 08 SS.
