WTF? After all the money you've thrown at it? Was it an issue with the shop and the money they wanted?

If you do move on, I'd vote for the 5.0. A buddy of mine just got home from Iraq, and is getting his 5.0 tuned Monday. With the Paxton blower he's looking for higher 600's.

If you get a 5.0 try to go for a BOSS 302. I predict we will see a bunch of GTs in the future, but not many BOSSes

5.0. if you can afford all that comes with an BMW coupe with 400hp+ go for it. Pretty sure you wouldn't be bringing it up if you couldn't but there's a big gap from a Mazda 3 to wanting a 08 M3

I want to hear the long story too. Since your biggest issue with this car, beyond FWD, was lack of aftermarket support, I'd stick to the Mustang from that list. The aftermarket is still growing for the 5.0, but it will get there. Don't forget the G8s and Camaros. A good competitor to the Mazda 3 is the Cobalt SS as well.

Go with the mustang , the ms3 has problems with the direct injection when it gets modded . Maybe they figured it out . But go with the stang or the bmw 335 , bmw would be cool 335xi with a 6 .

I cant tell the story yet but i dont think i will ever see the GXP again I am going to go with the m3, buying it tomorrow. Its so unbelievably nice. A big jump up from the GXP. After everything i am done modding cars till i have a LOT more money so my m3 will stay stock. I really will miss you guys this is by far the best forum i have ever been on!!! I will check in from time to time though. Someone better make me proud and break into the 11s without a turbo or nos! i was almost there so i know someone can do it! BTW they got the tbss throttle body to work. I may be able to get final dyno results from it so if i get them i will post them!

That sucks goose. I'd guess they want 10k to fix their **** up - and you aren't going to pay and they're putting a lien on it?

Good luck with the Bimmer, they're damn sweet.
