just got a 2008 super! Hello all,
I was just lucky enough the other day to find myself a super on a local lot with only 33000 miles on her. Boy does she run!
I joined the Buick forums but there doesnt seem to be many super owners on it, so I came over here where the action is!
This is a good site with lots of info about these rare cars and their engines (and shitty trannys!).

I will post pictures of her just has soon has I get to wash her up!
I live in PA and winter is setting in, so she has some road dirt on her, but she will clean up nice. I also need a day off to do it and that wont be till next weds. but I'll post the pictures has soon has possible.
Anyway, she is black with the mocha brown interior, and has the nice 18 inch wheels and the sunroof. One of 834? (I think) made in black in 2008.
My long term plans are to drive her a little bit till the snow falls and stays, then put her away till next spring. Longer term, she will be a "nice' day drive to work till the warrentys run out, then Ill put her away for a while (run her once a month to get the oil flowing in her and all that).
With only 2400 or so total made in 2008 snd 09 I think she MAY be a collector some day, so I will treat her with the love that is required for a car like this!
I will put the TEC tranny in her if the stock one ***** the bed, but other than that I dont plan on doing any mods at all, and will try to keep her has much GM as possible, even buy GM brake pads for her too! Hell, she runs plenty good enough for me stock!
Man it is a sweet ride fellows, I have to say. quiet comfort with the ability to blow the doors off most other cars out there....which makes it perfect in my book.

Buick didn't want to use the name LaCrosse in Canada. It seems that in French Canadian slang it means "self gratification".
As of 2010 they dropped the Allure name and call them LaCrosse on both sides of the border.
