Default New Guy with a Monte

Just wanted to introduce myself on here. Names Blake from Ohio. Recently bought an 06 SS, now I'm trying to figure out the best direction to start playing with it. Already has a new trans in it and I've got TEP's shift kit coming for it, efi live tuned by black bear performance, cold air inductions intake, and flowmasters so far. Thinking about some headers and removing the resignator.

Yea, its was just a stock replacement but I'm expecting the worse one day sadly but at least its a lot cheaper than going through that in my Duramax again lol.

Welcome. It's an addiction.....believe me. I've had one and sold it, missed it, and bought one again.

What was your mileage when the tranny went?

Welcome to the board!

Mine is original at 47K.

I'm hoping that the smooth, seamless, barely noticeable, lazy, slacker-like, put-you-to-sleep upshifts that Buick engineered into my car will prolong its transmission life. Yeah, right!

Dropped my pan yesterday to install the shift kit and it was full of shavings again and the fluid was dark. Looks like it won't be long till tranny number 2 goes in mine.

Welcome aboard man !!! Nice color of Monte you got there. My original trans died @ 102k . Should be up and running by the next two weeks with some 3.29s .

Nice you upgraded, did you get a stock stall or higher stall converter?
