The lenses is not tinted at all the chrome baffle is all that's painted so light output is in changed. Preheat oven to 230 stick stripped light in on foil covered cookie sheet. Wait 10 minutes remove try to pry it should be gummy. If not repeat til they are. Do not raise oven temp. Ever.

Nice job!

My OE headlights were a bitch to open at that temp. Might have been due to a different adhesive they used for the first few batches of headlights back in '05. I've heard that the newer ones were more of a silicone-based sealant instead of the plasticized stuff I had to deal with.

Being that the reflectors inside the headlight housing are chrome and the light buld reflects backwards to spread across that reflector, Can you seriously tell me there is no difference in light output after blacking out the reflectors?

need to see that pic again, dunno why it dissaperared

And yeah the issue with the depos is the glue is closer to a rubber cement than what the stock headlights are. If you find it difficult to pull the lights apart its probably because you a replacement headlight housing as my driverside was. Just have to give it a little extra love. After resealing them with the factory glue if they still fog buy a small tube of FLOWABLE SILICONE its very watery and will fill in all the gaps. I'm super happy with them and I feel a feeling acomplishment....nm lol good luck to anyone trying to accomplish this. And remeber patience is a virtue.

baltsk8er69 - can you repost the pic? add it to photobucket or something and post the link rather than an attachment...
