What is so "outdated" about the Impala styling?
While the old 94-96 B-body Impala was an old-fashioned RWD muscle car, an LS4 car would absolutely mop the pavement with one in a drag race or road race, stock for stock. Yes, the B-body was big, cushy and relatively fast, but they also got far worse mileage overall compared to the LS4, and had just as many problems as our cars (including trannys!).
I do prefer the B-body styling and spaciousness, but if you compare the overall vehicles, the B-body and LS4 cars both have their glaring faults, as well as virtues.
Yup...Fastest factory Impala ever!

They were pretty stout back in the day, but no match (at least in stock form) for an LS4, or even a new V6 Camry, for that matter.

When I look at that car I still can't believe GM isn't selling it to the public. It has Impala SS written all over it.
