Back from the shop Well, Car is back from the dealer, with a rebuilt tranny. Funny thing is they mentioned a new tranny while talking to me. I knew it wasn't true from the beginning. After my phone call to GM I got Goodwill to pay for the trans. Dealer said the Trans was $3,000.00. I don't think so...I think it was more like $1,200. Then I get hit for the labor.$1,300 plus tax= $1,417.38
Diag. Metal debris through out found drivin sprocket support bearing came apart sending metal through. -Replace unit. Diag. T88 (88-1111 sublet tech)
Then they sent it to a trans place for the replacement.
I think they only paid the trans place $700. looks they way on the billing.
oh p.s. Went from -on the phone we give you a 3yr/36000mi on the new trans to: 12month/12,000mi when I picked the car up.
If I could get a decent trade for it ( $14,000 ) I would.

12/12,000 - sounds like they just rebuilt it/replaced parts...
I got a new GM SERTA tranny in mine last year, and yeah, it was about 2800-3000... I have the 3yr/36,000 mi. warranty on it...
